JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want an exciting and varied job where you make a difference every day? We at the Family Law Unit are now looking for two skilled and experienced colleagues to join us. We have an exciting job where we have a clear child rights focus based on the articles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and we shape our work with innovation. Together, we make Gävle valuable.

In the role of family law secretary at the Family Law Unit, you will investigate and handle custody, residence, and visitation issues at the request of the district court. You will also handle visitation cases with visitation support and contact persons. We also work within the area of adoptions and investigate and handle paternity and parenthood.

We have further assignments to work preventively through conflict resolution collaborative conversations with separated parents, where the focus is always on the best interests of the child. This can occur through assignments from the district court or through parents' applications. In the fall, we aim to start Biff groups to provide support to our parents within family law. We are also developing a chat to facilitate contact with us. We see preventive work as important and have a daily informative role for citizens in the form of advice and support.

At the Family Law Unit, collaboration and cooperation play a significant role in our work, and we seek ways to work with other important individuals for the protection and safety of children. Development work is important, and we collaborate with universities, researchers, and other family law units for a legally secure operation for our citizens and to further strengthen the child rights perspective for our children and youth. We have strengthened our competence and invested in training ourselves in violence in close relationships. We have a clear child perspective with the Parental Code and the Convention on the Rights of the Child as our guiding documents. QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a recognized degree in social work and has experience in social case handling and investigative work. It is positive if you enjoy change work and have a twinkle in your eye.

It is desirable if you have previously worked with family law and have experience in conversations with children and youth. It is an advantage if you have worked with difficult and complex conversations with adults. Psychotherapy training level 1, or other equivalent training is also an advantage, as well as training in serious conflicts and violence. A driver's license and driving experience are desirable.

To succeed in the role of family law secretary, you should have a good sense for documentation, be able to write clearly and well-structured. We also want you to possess good analytical skills, be able to adapt your texts to our target group's needs, and from a clear child perspective. We also see that you have good knowledge of what needs to be prioritized and use resources to achieve results in the best way.

You are someone who finds it easy to plan and organize your work. You like to set goals, arrange resources, follow up, and complete activities. You have an unpretentious approach in your collaboration with others. You are someone who takes initiative, is brave, and has the ability to separate the issue from the person. You are a good listener and can bring out the important aspects in complex conversations. Of course, the group and your colleagues are important to further strengthen the work.
