The unit for daily activities is responsible for employment/activation for individuals according to 9:10 LSS person group 1 and 2, both at our own workplaces and in company groups and individual placements. The unit currently has about 500 users and 120 employees.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role of the support assistant includes planning, implementing, and following up on work within the area to promote an ethical and humanistic approach towards users and ensure that staff work together towards the same goals. Plan user-centered work based on implementation plans and establish and follow up on routines, job descriptions, and action plans. Pay special attention to users' independence, participation, and opportunities for communication through various alternative and complementary communication methods. The methods should have a theoretical basis and be based on evidence-based knowledge and experience. Support should be provided in a way that strengthens the individual's belief in their own abilities.
Within EDV, we actively work with user influence, and our work is based on a pedagogical approach and working method (PFA) that clarifies and adapts tasks according to each person. We also work according to a low-arousal approach.
The target group is adults with intellectual disabilities who have a decision for daily activities according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). You should be able to work independently based on goals, guidelines, activities, and individual implementation plans. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating as well as developing the organization. The job also includes driving a minibus.
You will work both individually and together with colleagues. It is important to have space to discuss and reflect on a professional approach and attitude in order to develop, improve, and achieve consensus. You will also be a resource for new assignments, especially before a permanent care contact has been appointed. Furthermore, you will actively contribute to strengthening internal cooperation between different organizations and provide your knowledge where it is requested, including within other units in the LSS area.
Another important point is to monitor developments regarding disabilities and support for users and to be proactive in development work within the LSS area.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has a recognized education in care and/or pedagogical training at least at the high school level, which the employer assesses as equivalent. You should have good documentation and computer skills as it involves maintaining medical and social documentation. Therefore, it is also important that you can express yourself in the Swedish language both orally and in writing.
You also have extensive experience with target groups within LSS and knowledge of alternative communication methods, such as signs as support, and the ability to adapt communication to different situations based on individual circumstances and needs. To succeed in this role, you also have training and/or experience in clear pedagogy and low-arousal responses. It is important that you have a B driver's license and driving experience.
As a person, you have the ability to work with other people. You inspire trust, create confidence and trust, and have the ability to spread calm and stability. You take initiative, are courageous, and have the ability to separate issues from individuals. Being a team player comes naturally to you, and you collaborate well with people in various contexts and functions, and you have an unpretentious attitude. You see opportunities in changes and have the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire others, helping them to develop and feel good. Furthermore, you create trusting relationships and make others feel safe.
