About the Position

The Security Unit in Kävlinge Municipality has a broad and exciting mission that spans the entire security and preparedness area.

Within the unit, issues related to crisis preparedness, civil defense, crime prevention, and physical security are handled. We work closely with the municipality's operations and have the task of supporting a safe and secure development within the municipality while ensuring that there is good preparedness to handle unforeseen events.

It is a varied job that ranges from the strategic, such as creating risk and vulnerability analyses and preparing decision-making material, to the more operational, such as handling incidents, coordinating assignments, and participating in collaboration networks.

Responsibilities

You will develop and document the municipality's preparedness work and continuity planning.
Develop and coordinate the municipality's crime prevention work together with internal and external collaboration partners. Prepare decision-making material for the municipal executive board within the above areas of responsibility.
Internal security work, which includes personnel security, locks, alarms, and fire protection.
Monitoring the external environment in relevant areas.
Sometimes unwanted events occur, and you will support the operations and coordinate appropriate measures together with the security manager.

Qualifications

Relevant higher education or other training/experience that the employer deems equivalent.
Experience in working with preparedness, crime prevention, or safety issues.
Experience in preparing materials (investigation and analysis work).
Good knowledge of current legislation in the areas.
Good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

It is an advantage if you have experience working in a politically governed organization, particularly in municipal operations.

About the Employment

Temporary position, approximately 1 year with the possibility of extension.

Some work is scheduled outside regular working hours.

The Administrative Department consists of 13 employees. The department's overarching mission is to be a support function for the municipality's political organization and management. The department is also responsible for security issues, information security, GDPR, and legal advice, as well as archives. In our workgroup, we want everyone to contribute to a good working atmosphere and help each other when needed.
