The Adult Psychiatry Area (VO) in Kristianstad provides outpatient care in Hässleholm, Kristianstad, Simrishamn, and Ystad. The emergency department and all inpatient care are located in Kristianstad. For residents of Ystad, Skurup, and Sjöbo, inpatient care and emergency services are offered in Malmö and Lund. Our catchment area includes the northeastern and southeastern municipalities of Skåne, totaling approximately 300,000 people. We have a good collaboration with the municipalities through cooperation meetings and care planning. Despite a large geographical spread, our operations are characterized by proximity and short decision-making paths.
We currently have about 38 employees working at the Adult Psychiatric Clinic in Simrishamn, and our catchment area includes the municipalities of Simrishamn and Tomelilla. We provide highly specialized outpatient care. Based on our various competencies and experiences, our mission is to offer our residents within specialist psychiatry assessment, investigation, diagnosis, care, and treatment. We are a workplace with competent and dedicated staff who are constantly working to develop and improve the clinic's operations. The team consists of various professional categories, including medical secretaries, caregivers, doctors, physiotherapists, rehabilitation coordinators, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and occupational therapists. Here, we take care of and support each other, and many good laughs permeate our daily work.
The Adult Psychiatry in Simrishamn is an organization in an exciting phase of development! Right now, we are investing and expanding with a new psychosis team and working on implementing standardized care processes, Skåne's Digital Care System, and the person-centered care approach.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
One of our wonderful colleagues is soon retiring, and we are now looking for you who want to become our new colleague!
As a medical secretary, you will work closely with doctors, other healthcare staff, and your fellow medical secretaries. You will be part of a lovely team that helps and supports each other. Your work mainly consists of receiving patients at the reception and organizing and structuring the administrative work at the clinic. In the team, you collaborate with different personnel categories and actively contribute to improving routines, working methods, and the development of the unit. The tasks include administration in Melior, scheduling, registrations in Pasis, as well as handling referrals and team conferences. You are also a great support to your colleagues. In this role, you will also have some patient contact via phone and manage incoming cases through 1177. Additionally, there is the opportunity for your own areas of responsibility such as My Plans, Callguide, and more.
When you start, you will receive an introduction and shadowing tailored to your needs and circumstances.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you who have an approved education in Health and Medical Care Administration 80p KY/400p YH or equivalent medical secretary education. In addition, you have good knowledge of medical terminology and good proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We consider it an advantage if you have good computer skills and knowledge of Melior and/or Pasis. We also welcome those who are newer to the profession and interested in our operations.
As a person, you are meticulous and loyal, work service-oriented, and have a flexible approach where you can quickly adapt when needed. An exciting, varied, and developing job appeals to you. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams. Habilitation provides habilitation and rehabilitation within publicly operated child, youth, and adult habilitation. Assistive devices are tasked with managing assistive devices prescribed to patients in Skåne. The administration also includes vision, hearing, and deaf services and youth clinics in Skåne.
