Kastellegårdsskolan is located in Ytterby, approximately 5 km from Kungälv.

At the school, we have students from preschool class to grade 6, and we have very dedicated and skilled staff. The school management consists of one principal for grades F-3 and another for grades 4-6.

Job Responsibilities

Special education teacher focusing on language, writing, and reading development.
Special education tasks in collaboration with school management, the school's student health team, and other staff.
You will work with knowledgeable colleagues both in the student health team and at the school.

We are looking for someone with broad teaching experience and a special education degree. As a special education teacher, you, together with school management and the student health team, have an overarching responsibility for the preventive and health-promoting work concerning the school's students. We expect you, together with others in the school's student health team, to drive student health work based on the school's needs and help the school stay at the forefront.

The special education team, consisting of two special education teachers and two special pedagogues, has close cooperation with the various work teams at the school, and you will work at the organizational, group, and individual levels. We have a clear EHM structure that is beneficial for systematically capturing needs and interventions. In your role, you contribute your expertise to map learning environments, abilities, and success factors and develop the long-term work at the school based on the students' needs. You will, in collaboration with the school's teachers, conduct screenings and, with your expertise, follow up on this at the organizational, group, and individual levels.

You have knowledge of how to guide and train colleagues in the work with reading and writing development. You also have a good ability to communicate with students in a motivating and supportive manner.

You have good knowledge of basic reading and writing acquisition, as well as compensatory aids for students in need of support, and are updated on current research in the field. A positive approach is important to us, and we place great emphasis on personal qualities.
