Unit for Multilingualism

The Unit for Multilingualism is a central unit for mother tongue education and study guidance in the mother tongue from a 6-19 year perspective: in preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, secondary school, and adapted secondary school. The unit's mission includes coordinating and organizing activities in both municipal and independent schools.

Our administrative offices are located at Fyrisborgsgatan 1, while the educational activities take place at the municipality's schools.

Your Mission

Mother tongue education in sign language for primary school students with deaf parents or deaf siblings. Your tasks include teaching primary school students in the subject of mother tongue according to applicable governing documents. Teaching takes place on-site at the municipality's schools.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and grades in Swedish sign language. You should have excellent knowledge of Swedish sign language and Swedish. It is also a requirement that you have very good computer skills. Having a B driver's license and a personal vehicle is an advantage.

As a person, you are communicative and have an easy time listening and adapting your way of communicating. You have good pedagogical skills and an understanding of students' different conditions for acquiring knowledge. Additionally, you are good at structuring, planning, and prioritizing your work.
