The Social Services Administration has recently been divided into two units, one responsible for assistance handling in elderly care and the other for disability care and fees.

The two units are led by their own unit managers. Our offices are located in bright and fresh premises in the Expo area of Värnamo. In the same building, there are also some of our closest partners: Preventive Unit and Care and Rehab. We are now looking for a summer substitute for assistance handling in elderly care.

We want you to have a secure start and good conditions to perform independent work. The introduction may vary depending on your previous experience. There is an opportunity to substitute starting in May to become familiar with the handling process before the summer substitute position begins. Throughout the summer, you will work alongside experienced colleagues who can provide support in daily tasks. We operate based on the Individual's Needs in Center (IBIC) approach and use the operational system Combine.

Job Responsibilities

As a summer substitute assistance handler in elderly care, you will handle cases according to the Social Services Act (SoL). You will investigate, assess needs, and make decisions about interventions according to SoL and follow up on decided interventions. The work involves many contacts with users, their relatives, and representatives/agents and collaboration with implementers and other partners, both internal and external. Together with your colleagues in the unit, you will work for a good work climate and to ensure legal security.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a degree from the Social Work Program, Social Care Program, or equivalent education deemed equivalent by the employer. You who are studying in the Social Work Program and have done an internship in public administration may also be considered for the position. You have knowledge of the relevant legislation, regulations, and guidelines as well as about handling and documentation within the social services area. To succeed in the role, you need to be able to gather information, compile, analyze, and evaluate different action alternatives to make assessments that lead to well-motivated decisions. As a person, you need to be secure in yourself, responsible, meticulous, and structured. You should be able to plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively, which also requires flexibility.

Since the work involves many contacts with various partners, you need to be relationship-building and attentive. You must be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and be able to adapt your communication to the person you are in contact with. If you have experience with the operational systems Combine, Cosmic Link, or the IBIC approach, this is an advantage, as is experience in handling according to SoL and LSS. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Conditions

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

Selection and interviews may occur continuously during the recruitment period. The position is a summer substitute for the period of weeks 25-33. The position will be filled provided that necessary decisions are made.

In Värnamo Municipality, all permanent positions are advertised full-time. If you prefer part-time and the operation can accommodate a lower employment rate, this is of course an option.
