We are a municipal staffing department that handles short-term absences of up to 14 days for the social services, preschool and primary school departments, and catering & cleaning in the service department. We are now looking for more employees who want to work in our operations.

We recruit continuously based on the needs of our various operations, which means that we may prioritize certain areas over others.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Care and Support:

Your task will be to meet and support children, young people, or adults with disabilities, or elderly individuals who need help in their daily lives. You will receive introduction and training, quickly becoming part of our community, and initially, you will shadow an experienced colleague.

Your work will involve being there for someone who needs you, to facilitate and enable things in everyday life that many of us take for granted. You will often assist with dressing and undressing, hygiene, and toilet visits. This may involve cooking, cleaning, or shopping together. It may also mean accompanying individuals to activities such as movies, swimming, concerts, or sports events. We often laugh together and provide comfort when needed.

You will mostly work in teams, but when you feel confident, there will be times when you work alone. If you work as a personal assistant, this will be the case most of the time.

Preschool and Primary School:

As a substitute paid by the hour in preschool and primary school, you will assist in the educational work and support the children/students and your closest colleagues. The work may involve teaching in classes and groups, participating in meal situations, outdoor activities, and other tasks that occur in our operations. Since the work takes place both indoors and outdoors, appropriate clothing for the weather is required.

There is also the opportunity to work in adapted primary school. Adapted primary school is for students who have an intellectual disability or cognitive impairment due to brain injury.

Catering and Cleaning:

As a substitute paid by the hour in catering and cleaning, you can work as either a meal assistant or a cook. As a meal assistant, you will be involved in serving and preparing breakfast, lunch, and snacks, performing self-inspection for the kitchen, and being responsible for serving and dishwashing. You will also be responsible for cleaning. As a cook, you will be responsible for cooking from scratch, preparing special diets, conducting self-inspection for the kitchen, as well as dishwashing and cleaning.

QUALIFICATIONS

The staffing department primarily seeks individuals with education in care and support, preschool, leisure, primary school, or in restaurant and food services. It is advantageous if you have completed the care and support program, the child and leisure program, or the restaurant and food program in high school.

You must be at least 18 years old to be employed with us.

We are looking for someone with a good attitude, flexibility, initiative, teamwork skills, and a sense of responsibility. Due to the nature of the tasks, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required so that you can communicate verbally and in writing with those you assist, as well as with relatives and colleagues. You need to be able to work with both male and female clients and colleagues.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Experience working in our operations is an advantage.

Since the need for substitutes can arise suddenly, you need to be able to show up at the workplace on short notice. You are expected to be available for work at least three shifts per week, except for those who are retirees and students within our operational areas.

The operations within care and support are largely open every day of the year, around the clock. In preschool and primary school, our operations are open on weekdays from 06:30 to 18:30, and it is important that you are available for most of these hours.

A driver's license and access to a car are advantageous.

As an employee of the staffing department, you need to present a criminal record extract before employment can be established, regardless of which area you will work in. When you present your extract from the criminal record, you must also bring valid identification.

Before a potential employment, we will check citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to present a valid residence/work permit or prove that you are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
