The Department of Children and Youth is responsible for Halmstad's municipal preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school care, and cultural schools. Every day, about 16,000 children attend one of our facilities.

About Ranagård School

Ranagård School is a newly established F-9 school that opened in the autumn of 2024, located in the newly built residential area of Ranagård. The school also includes an adapted primary school, a meeting place for young people after school hours, and a combined school and public library. By autumn 2025, the school will grow to approximately 550 students from the current approximately 430. The primary school has a close collaboration with the adapted primary school.

At Ranagård School, everyone shares the same goal - to develop an equitable and successful teaching approach from a holistic perspective for grades F-9. JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a primary school teacher for teaching German. In the autumn of 2025, the teaching of German will amount to about 50%, which is an increasing need as the school continues to grow. It is advantageous if you also have qualifications in English. Other subject qualifications are also of interest! In the long term, mentorship may be included in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Teaching certification and qualifications to teach German as well as other subject qualifications for subjects in grades 6-9. You are passionate about being part of continuing to build and develop our new school. You are creative, solution-oriented, and unpretentious. You allow your assumptions to be challenged. You enjoy challenging others and sharing your experiences. You are a team player. You have clear leadership and see the value of building relationships with students even outside the classroom. As the school develops equitable and quality-assured teaching, you see the value of developing this from a F-9 perspective. Qualifications in English are advantageous.

If you are offered employment within the Department of Children and Youth, you are required to present a clean extract from the Police Criminal Records for work within schools/preschools. The extract is free of charge and takes about 2-3 weeks for the police to process. Therefore, order it in good time!
