The mission of the Education and Labor Market Administration is to increase individuals' opportunities to find work and become self-sufficient through education, internships, and work. We have, among other things, the municipality's largest combined offering of upper secondary education and courses for adults.

Adult education offers courses/training in various ways based on individual needs. Adult education includes basic and upper secondary adult education, Swedish for immigrants, special education for adults, vocational higher education programs, and learning center activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you an engaged and knowledgeable vocational teacher with experience in automation? Do you want to help educate the engineers of the future in automation and digitalization? Then this could be the position for you!

We are now looking for a vocational teacher for the vocational higher education program in automation and digitalization engineering.

The position consists of teaching and mentoring students in areas such as PLC systems and programming (IEC), digital and analog technology, HMI/SCADA and simulation programs, motion systems such as servo and motor systems, as well as industrial communication (IE), OT/IT, and cybersecurity. Furthermore, the teaching includes high-level programming, such as Python and C#, database management (OPC-UA), robot programming, risk analysis, and safety applications, as well as automation technical constructions.

You will also work with topics such as electrical engineering and electrical design in CAD environments (Elprocad/EPLAN) as well as Solid Works and mechanics.

In addition to teaching automation and electrical engineering courses, you will also be responsible for the workplace-based part of the education that the students complete.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a vocational teacher in automation who has knowledge and experience in the field as well as a pedagogical background, preferably with experience in teaching adults. Having a vocational teacher's degree and/or teaching certification is an advantage.

Furthermore, we are looking for someone who enjoys teaching and wants to inspire and develop students through both theoretical and practical instruction in a stimulating learning environment.

We see that you are creative, structured, and attentive with a good ability to adapt your teaching style to meet your students' individual needs. You are clear and good at communicating. We also expect you to take initiative and achieve results in your work role.

You act according to our municipality's common values and are a role model for other employees. You encourage participation and creativity, show personal care by providing support and by confronting in a good spirit, both for your closest colleagues and for the organization as a whole.
