The Children and Youth Administration is responsible for Halmstad's municipal preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school care, and cultural schools. Every day, approximately 16,000 children attend one of our facilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a teacher for after-school care. As a teacher in after-school care with us, you need to have good leadership qualities and the ability to give students influence as well as to see individual needs. Based on this, you are curious and try together with your colleagues and students, new ways to create high quality in the teaching at the after-school center. You have energy that you want to share and want to inspire others.

As a teacher for after-school care, you are involved in developing the school's pedagogical activities. The work consists of you planning, following up, evaluating, and developing the teaching together with the work team based on the governing documents and the goals of the activities. In the role of teacher at the after-school center, a good ability to analyze the child's needs and the ability to use a well-adapted methodology for the student and the group is required.

You will also work collaboratively with classes F-3 during daytime. The tasks vary, providing a diverse and challenging job. At the same time, it places demands on both competence and personal qualities in you. Your pedagogical assignment often requires inventiveness, creativity, and flexibility, and you use strategies to promote students' motivation, participation, and influence. The work requires good collaboration with others at the school and an unpretentious attitude.

As support in working with the students, there is a student health team at the school. At Gullbrandstorp School, the EHT consists of two special educators, a school psychologist, a counselor, and two school nurses. It is a strong and experienced team with broad competence.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher with a focus on after-school care or possibly have another higher education deemed suitable by the employer. If you have experience teaching in after-school care, sports, music, and working with students in need of support, it is an asset.
