The Department of Children and Youth is responsible for Halmstad's municipal preschools, primary schools, adapted primary school, after-school care, and cultural school. Every day, approximately 16,000 children attend one of our facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The assignment involves teaching and mentorship in grade 3 at Valhallaskolan during the school year 2025/2026.

As a teacher, you are involved in developing the school's educational activities. You are a clear and structured leader in the classroom with good pedagogical skills in teaching. You have high expectations for the students and can motivate them to achieve good results in their schoolwork by clarifying goals and knowledge requirements. You adapt the teaching to the students and have a formative approach. Your pedagogical assignment often requires inventiveness, creativity, and flexibility, and you use strategies to promote students' motivation, participation, and influence.

You find it easy to collaborate and see the work team as an asset. Together with the team, you plan, implement, evaluate, and develop the teaching based on the school's governing documents and goals. The work also requires collaboration with other colleagues at the school.

QUALIFICATIONS

Teaching certification with authorization for teaching in grades F-3.

If you are offered employment within the Department of Children and Youth, you are required to present a clean extract from the Police Criminal Records for work within schools/preschools. The extract is free of charge and takes about 2-3 weeks for the police to process. Therefore, order it in good time!
