The Department of Children and Youth is responsible for Halmstad's municipal preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school care, and cultural schools. Every day, around 16,000 children attend one of our facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mother tongue instruction in Polish in primary and secondary schools.
  • Study guidance in Polish in primary and secondary schools.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualification as a teacher in Polish or other educational training deemed suitable by the employer.
  • Familiarity with the Swedish National Agency for Education's mapping materials for newly arrived students.
  • Good knowledge of the mother tongue Polish as well as Swedish.
  • Driver's license and access to a car, as well as good computer skills.

We are looking for someone who is engaged and enjoys working with children and youth. You take initiative, work independently, and have excellent collaboration skills. Experience is required.

You do this by proving your citizenship in the EU/EES or Switzerland through a passport, national ID card, or personal certificate along with an identity document. If you cannot do this, you need to present a work permit or show that you are exempt from the requirement for a work permit.

If you are offered a position within the Department of Children and Youth, you are required to present a clean extract from the Police's criminal record for work within schools/preschools. The extract is free of charge and takes about 2-3 weeks for the police to process. Therefore, order in good time!

The position is filled on the condition that it is not claimed by surplus staff.
