The mission of the Education and Labor Market Administration is to increase individuals' opportunities to find work and become self-sufficient through education, internships, and employment. We have, among other things, the municipality's largest collective offering of upper secondary education and courses for adults.

Sannarpsgymnasiet is Halmstad's largest sports high school with National Sports Education, NIU, in football, handball, swimming, table tennis, athletics, and badminton. Sports and health, as well as joy of movement, permeate the school's activities. Kristinehedsgymnasiet, which offers vehicle and transport programs, is also part of Sannarpsgymnasiet. Our programs contribute to creating the foundation for a sustainable study environment with studies and health at the center.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The years as a high school student are like an exciting adventure, but it should be a safe adventure where the student does not lose but wins the more they invest. The high schools in Halmstad Municipality therefore have a common goal of offering students the safest adventure of their lives. We want to offer great choices for students, which is why we have high demands regarding the right staff in the right place. A teacher working with us should be well-educated and have a strong commitment to their subjects.

Kristinehedsgymnasiet is now looking for three new vocational teachers for:

• The passenger car program with qualifications as a mechanic (1 position)
• The transport program with qualifications as a professional driver (2 positions)

We are looking for someone who is driven to utilize and develop each student's abilities and create conditions for learning. Additionally, you should create trust, security, and inspire students to a joyful learning experience through a professional approach.

You will educate and work in accordance with the goals in the curriculum and other central and local governing documents. You are responsible for teaching, assessment, grading, and for documenting, evaluating, and planning the activities in collaboration with the team. You are also expected to actively participate in school development work, collaborate with colleagues, and together with relevant teachers develop the programs in close collaboration with the industry to provide students with the best possible education.

As a mentor, you will be responsible for students during their study period, which includes development discussions and other parent contacts, as well as student welfare initiatives in collaboration with student health services.

QUALIFICATIONS

We primarily seek candidates with a teaching license/vocational teacher degree. You who have work experience from the industries and an interest in working with young people are also welcome to apply.

For the transport program, the following knowledge/training is meritorious:

• Appointment as a driving examiner in high school/adult education.
• Driving experience and training to handle counterbalance forklifts.
• Driving experience and training to handle truck-mounted cranes.
• Driving experience and training to handle wheel loaders.

For the passenger car program, the following knowledge/training is meritorious:

• Knowledge and experience of electric and hybrid vehicles.
• Knowledge and experience of trucks and mobile machines.

You are an engaged person who enjoys teaching and working with young people. You are creative, structured, and attentive with a good ability to adapt your teaching style to meet your students' individual needs. You are clear and good at communicating and skilled at inspiring students' interest in school. We expect you to take initiative in your role, start activities, and achieve results.

You act according to our municipality's common values and are a role model for other employees. You encourage participation and creativity, show personal care by providing support and confronting in a good spirit, both for your closest colleagues and for the organization as a whole.
