The mission of the Education and Labor Market Administration is to increase individuals' opportunities to find work and become self-sufficient through education, internships, and employment. We have, among other things, the municipality's largest collective offering of upper secondary education and courses for adults.

Adult education offers courses/training in various ways based on individual needs. Adult education includes basic and upper secondary adult education, Swedish for immigrants, special education for adults, higher vocational education, and learning center activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you an engaged and knowledgeable vocational teacher with experience in power engineering? Do you want to help educate the engineers of the future? Then this may be the position for you!

We are now looking for a teacher for the higher vocational education program for power engineers. The program leads to the professional role of power engineer and also includes theoretical competence for authorization. The position consists of teaching in power engineering subjects and, as an educational leader, being responsible for the implementation of the education.

The position involves teaching and mentoring students in power engineering courses including both low and high voltage with a focus on high voltage, as well as electrical theory, power engineering, design calculations, and electrical machines. Regulations and standards, as well as project work. Electrical safety and ESA. High voltage installations such as power grids and stations. Digital measurement, control, and management. Industrial facilities and buildings. Courses according to ELSÄK-FS 2017:4 (authorization). Authorization for low and high voltage.

In addition to teaching, you will be responsible for the workplace-based part (LIA) of the education that the students carry out. The position also includes collaboration with the industry, adult education in Halmstad, authorities, and other stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a vocational teacher in power engineering who has knowledge and experience in the field as well as a pedagogical background, preferably with experience in teaching adults. If you have a vocational teacher's degree and/or teaching certification, it is an advantage.

Furthermore, we are looking for someone who enjoys teaching and wants to inspire and develop students through both theoretical and practical instruction in a stimulating learning environment.

We see that you are creative, structured, and attentive with a good ability to adapt your teaching style to your students' individual needs. You are clear and good at communicating. We also expect you to take initiative in your work role and achieve results.
