Summer Temporary Position as Treatment Pedagogue/Treatment Assistant

We are a smaller institution located in Vindeln, about 60 km from Umeå, where we provide care for women under LVM. The area has two departments, a locked department with 11 places and an open department with 10 places. There is beautiful nature within walking distance.

Job Description

Take the chance to try an interesting summer temporary position as a treatment pedagogue/treatment assistant at SiS LVM-hem Renforsen. We are looking for a total of 18 treatment pedagogues/assistants, twelve working days, evenings, weekends, and six working awake nights. You will work in a team with treatment pedagogues, treatment assistants, and treatment coordinators. Together, you are responsible for ensuring that the clients living with us receive the security, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you will work with qualified care and motivational work, providing support in daily life. With your knowledge and skills in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the fulfillment of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You will help maintain safety according to our routines and assist in the smooth running of daily activities such as cleaning and cooking. The work may include case management. This is a job for you who see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job can be demanding but is also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

The working hours are according to a rolling schedule for days, evenings, weekends, and nights.

As a summer temporary worker at SiS, you will undergo a tailored introductory training and receive onboarding in the respective department to prepare you for your assignment.

Qualifications

As a treatment pedagogue, you should have:

• A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or a degree from a university deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Driver's license B
• Good Swedish in speech and writing

As a treatment assistant, you should have:

• Completed high school education.
• Driver's license B
• Good Swedish in speech and writing

It is an advantage for the position if you have experience working with people in vulnerable situations, e.g., psychiatry, LSS, HVB homes, etc.

To succeed in your work, you have a well-founded positive view of people. You are motivated to help individuals in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's core values of being a place for change. Employment

The position is a fixed-term employment during the holiday period weeks 25-32, with the possibility of an agreement for hourly employment during the spring and autumn of 2025. You will have paid introduction and onboarding that must be started and completed before week 25.
