When the Norrbotniabanan is completed, with its travel center in central Robertsfors, the commuting time between Robertsfors and neighboring cities will be halved. Robertsfors Municipality has just over 750 monthly employees.

Description of the Operation

With the new social services act coming into force on July 1 this year, we are now strengthening our open care with an additional person.

You will be part of a work group with three other family therapists and you will work closely with social workers who investigate and make decisions about interventions. We are a small and pleasant workplace with close collaborations both internally and externally, with e.g., schools and other important partners. We have many exciting development projects underway with the greatest focus on early and preventive interventions, a work where open care will be an important piece and where you will have an important role. The workplace is characterized by active development and quality work and also an active effort to ensure that everyone has a good working environment.

Your Mission

In our open care, you will work with parents with children aged 0-19 years, who have difficulties making their everyday life and family life work. This may involve parents with extensive social issues, mental health problems, or cognitive and neuropsychiatric difficulties that affect parenting ability. Or parents without their own difficulties but who, for a period, need support and help with their parenting. The support aims to strengthen the family's resources and give families better conditions to manage their life situation themselves, using knowledge-based methods. The expansion being made will have a special focus on crime prevention work as well as work with young people and their parents. This will include some outreach work as well as work with students with problematic school absenteeism. You often work together with a colleague from the open care team but sometimes alone. Open care represents social services in various types of collaborative forms regarding children and youth, such as HLT and the Attendance Team; this position will also be relevant for collaboration with the police. Working hours may sometimes be flexible between 07:00 – 18:00.

Your Competence and Experience

  • You are a social worker, social educator, treatment educator, or have an equivalent education.
  • You have a B driver's license.
  • You speak and write good Swedish.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • A CBT education, education in network work, or other types of training that are useful in treatment work.
  • Experience in treatment work.

A criminal record extract is requested.

You have personal maturity and integrity that allow you to distinguish between private life and work and act professionally even though you work very closely with families. You can set boundaries for yourself and your work but also be flexible when required. You should be able to adapt when the operation requires it and be flexible in trying other working methods. Great emphasis will be placed on having a very good ability to collaborate, as collaboration is key to success in the work you will perform. You should find it easy to build relationships and have no problem being in environments where citizens are present. You should be goal- and result-oriented, as all work is based on the family's/youth's goals, and you should be interested in measuring the results of your interventions. Great importance is placed on personal suitability as you will largely be the face of social services to children and young people and their parents and in that be an ambassador for the entire social service.
