The Department of Children and Youth is responsible for Halmstad's municipal preschools, primary schools, adapted primary school, after-school care, and cultural school. Every day, about 16,000 children attend one of our facilities.

Ranagård School is a newly established F-9 school that opened in the autumn of 2024, located in the newly built residential area of Ranagård. The school also includes an adapted primary school, a meeting place for young people after school, and a combined school and public library. By autumn 2025, the school will grow to about 550 students from the current approximately 430. The primary school has a close collaboration with the adapted primary school.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Together with you, we want to break the national negative achievement in the subject of mathematics. You will primarily teach mathematics/natural sciences/technology in grades 7-9. It may also include teaching students in our special education group, Compass. Like other teachers at the school, you will have a mentoring role.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a certified teacher for secondary school and are qualified to teach mathematics and natural sciences. You are passionate about being part of building and developing our new school. You are creative, solution-focused, and unpretentious. You allow your assumptions to be challenged. You enjoy challenging others and sharing your experiences. You are a team player. You have clear leadership and see the value of building relationships with students even outside the classroom. As the school develops equitable and quality-assured teaching, you see the value of developing this from an F-9 perspective. Qualification in technology is an advantage.
