JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to help develop our operations?

For the autumn term of 2025, we are looking for two educators for Falkenberg Municipality's newly established initiative for promoting school attendance, Lanternan. Lanternan is a completely new initiative that will be based in Vinberg and will support the municipal primary schools in their work with attendance. The team's mission, consisting of three educators, is to work in various ways with students who have problematic school absenteeism with the goal of returning to school. A success factor in the work is that Lanternan has the opportunity to work in a slightly different way and make interventions that the school cannot provide. They can, among other things, meet students and guardians at home or in a location outside of school, which the school cannot do.

Lanternan will conduct its operations in close collaboration with our special education group Lotsen and our emergency school Fyren. In these groups, dedicated educators work with students coming from different schools in the municipality. The operations are characterized by high professionalism and a good collaborative climate between educators, students, and guardians. The goal of the operations is to prepare students for continued schooling.

In our new premises in Vinberg, there will be good conditions for working with flexible solutions based on the students' circumstances and needs. As an educator at Lanternan, you will be part of a work team together with the educators at Lotsen and Fyren.

Student health competencies are linked to the operations and are led by the unit manager for our two special education groups and the emergency school.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a subject teacher with Swedish in combination with another subject, alternatively English in combination with another subject, or SO in combination with another subject, or other qualifications deemed suitable by the employer.

We are looking for two individuals who are confident in themselves with documented experience working with children and youth in need of special support, preferably with knowledge of and experience with NPF and AST. You work with complex issues and must have a conscious solution-focused approach and be prepared to develop your working methods together with the team.

You should have good collaboration skills while also being able to work independently. It is important that you want and can work in a team. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, especially when it comes to creating positive interactions with both children, youth, and adults.

Experience with similar tasks in attendance-promoting work, special education groups, knowledge and experience working with children and youth who have social issues and often in combination with other issues such as neuropsychiatric disabilities and/or AST is considered highly meritorious.

You have good collaboration skills, are solution-focused, have great patience, and are persistent.

A driver's license is required.
