Do you have a solid interest in automotive technology and want to work for a world-leading company in powertrain testing? AVL is expanding its team with an additional test cell engineer for the team responsible for testing electric powertrains and transmissions.

The position is located in Södertälje. Your work is scheduled in a 4-shift pattern, combining day and evening work. This setup offers a long weekend and a completely free week every month.

Does this sound like you? Then you might be our new test cell engineer!

  • As a test cell engineer, you will conduct testing of powertrains and transmissions in a laboratory environment at the customer’s facilities. Before testing the object, you will also be responsible for preparing, setting up, and installing test objects. Your work will also include responsibility for maintenance and calibration in test cells, which will be carried out through coordination and dialogue with the operator. There will also be work involving systematic troubleshooting, laser alignment, documentation, and continuous feedback to the customer.
  • You will be responsible and proactive for any deviations that occur in the test cells.
  • Strong interest in technology, engines, vehicles, and electrical engineering.
  • 2 years of documented experience as a mechanic/technician. Alternatively, documented experience as an electrician with a hobby interest in engines.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English.
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of basic office software.
  • A valid driver’s license (B) is required.
  • Experience with practical work on electric vehicles or transmissions, or experience in testing and/or development in a controlled environment is an advantage.

  • Basic understanding of electrical engineering and good knowledge in this area is advantageous. Since you will be working closely with voltage (V), internal training will be provided.
