Carmeda is a medical technology company in the field of biomaterials. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc. and has approximately 50 employees. The focus of the business is to improve the quality of life for people by researching, developing, and producing biocompatible coatings for medical devices that come into contact with blood. Operations Engineer at Carmeda in Ulriksdal

Your new role
As an Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for operational and technical issues for both the property and production. This includes:
- Operation and maintenance of Carmeda's facilities, including clean rooms, media systems, BMS, HVAC, and production equipment
- Calibration and maintenance
- Requirements specification and procurement of equipment/services
- Qualifications and validations
- Quality issues (Deviations/CAPA)
- Quality documentation
You will take responsibility for the daily work with operational and technical issues. Carmeda has a mix of internal and external management of the property, which requires a good sense of collaboration and responsiveness. The role demands in-depth technical knowledge and the ability to work with and troubleshoot technical installations both physically and through digital tools. As an operations technician, you will monitor operational systems and installations, and perform control and follow-up in collaboration with the operations organization and our operational partners.
The role is based in Ulriksdal and you will report to the Site & Engineering Leader.
To succeed in the role
Since the role involves operational work in a clean room environment, previous experience in such an environment is required. Perhaps you are currently working in operations at a company in a regulated environment, such as within medtech/pharma/biotech, or why not a corresponding environment in academia, and want to take on responsibility and develop in your professional role.
You are required to:
- Have a relevant engineering degree in property technology, production, process industry, or equivalent.
- Have at least two years of experience in technical operations, process, or manufacturing industry.
- Have knowledge and experience of property technical systems for electricity, HVAC, ventilation, control and monitoring, as well as fire and access.
- Be accustomed to reading and interpreting drawings, operation cards, and flowcharts.
- Have experience with control systems in property automation (for example, Siemens or Web Port is a merit).
- Be structured and goal-oriented with good analytical skills.
- Fluently speak and write in both English and Swedish.
It is also important:
- Good IT and administrative skills related to a digital working method.
You will also benefit from:
- Knowledge of construction law and property standards
- Experience working in a regulated production or maintenance environment
- Experience in energy saving/energy optimization, preferably in commercial properties
