We can now offer an exciting opportunity to become part of us at Sweden Biomanufacturing Center (SBC): We are looking for 4 Analytical Biochemists for the quality organization at SBC.
This is a consulting assignment via Academic Work, initially lasting for 6 months with a chance for extension.
Your Role
You will work with analytical quality assurance according to applicable cGxP. The role includes both sample handling and preparation of samples and reagents, as well as analyses, data review, and reporting of results. The controls are performed using various analytical techniques such as HPSEC, GC, gel electrophoresis, CE-SDS, cIEF, and protein concentration with UV/Vis. Device testing and compendial methods such as sub-visual particles, appearance, visible particles, and extractable volume are also performed in the laboratory. We also work on the introduction of new technologies to the site.
The role also includes a variety of non-routine tests, including analytical method transfer (ATT) and analytical support to production, primarily during process validations associated with the launch of new products. This means you need to stay updated on technical developments, perform trend analyses, and provide support for functional and cross-functional investigations.
In addition to the analytical work, maintenance of laboratory equipment and some administrative tasks are also included. You will handle a large number of samples from both manufacturing at SBC and from other sites, as well as stability studies. You will work in various teams both within the group and in different cross-functional teams, both locally and globally. AstraZeneca continuously works with LEAN and continuous improvements aimed at enhancing and streamlining operations. This work is highly valued and you are expected to be involved.
You Offer
- Scientific degree of at least 180 credits (120 points according to previous grading) in chemistry/biochemistry or equivalent
- Practical experience in analytical chemistry, preferably biochemistry/analytical chemistry, preferably in operations governed by Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Very good ability to clearly communicate and express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English
It is advantageous if you have experience working with quality assurance in pharmaceutical or food manufacturing, or other GMP-governed operations. Experience/knowledge in LEAN is also beneficial.
The final candidate will undergo a background check and health check including drug and alcohol testing.
As a person, you are flexible in the face of changing conditions and have a structured approach to work. You have good collaboration and communication skills, as well as strong analytical abilities and an eye for detail. Taking great responsibility for your own deliveries while being a pronounced team player is a given for you.
