Together, you are part of a larger team of engineers in automation, mechanical design, and electrical design. Everyone is located in different places, which means that many colleagues work remotely, providing a great breadth and variation in your workdays. Travel may occur in the position for station visits. Your location can be, for example, Umeå or Luleå, but also other locations in Norrland where Vattenfall has offices to work from.

Job Responsibilities
As an electrical designer at Vattenfall Services, you will work on developing electrical designs for various station projects such as hydropower and transformer stations. You will design, among other things, high-voltage lines, switchgear, control cabinets, control systems, and relay protection primarily for larger projects and collaborate closely with other electrical designers, project managers, and design leaders.

Your area of responsibility includes establishing complete electrical designs, design adaptations, as well as configuration and testing of control systems. If you have previous experience in the work, there is a great opportunity to further develop in the role of design leader.

We are looking for someone who
has a post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in electrical power. You have previously worked with designs of control systems and have good knowledge of Elprocad and/or Elmaster. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as a B driver's license since station visits require this.

Additionally, we are looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving and complex issues; no challenge is too big! You have a pedagogical approach and thrive in working with other people as the projects involve a lot of cross-functional collaboration.
