Do you want to be a key person in projects that shape the future of industrial automation solutions? At Boliden Electro, you will have the chance to work with both technology and people in a role with great responsibility and variety.

About Boliden Electro

Boliden Electro is an established player in automation offering tailored solutions in both hardware and software. Our projects range from smart services in CAD, PLC, and HMI programming to complete automation systems – always with a focus on efficiency, safety, and sustainability. We are experts in taking a customer idea from concept to finished solution, and our clients are located both in Sweden and internationally.

Your role with us

As an automation engineer at Boliden Electro, you will be involved from start to finish in our projects. When the deal is closed, you will participate in kick-off meetings with the sales engineer, the customer, and any subcontractors. After that, you will be responsible for producing clear assembly documentation and designs for our manufacturing workshop.

In a role as an automation designer with us, you will also work with colleagues in the design department to develop production documentation, manuals, technical descriptions, risk analyses, calculations, and much more. You and your colleagues are key persons in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality and reliable solutions.

You will often work from existing drawing documentation, but the role requires technical understanding, creativity, and precision to adapt and further develop solutions together with the customer. As you handle multiple projects simultaneously in different phases, your tasks will vary day by day – from design to testing, and from coordination with suppliers to final adjustments at the customer's site.

We need both those focused on CAD and electrical drawings, as well as those with expertise in PLC/HMI programming and control systems. The position demands high levels of self-leadership, technical competence, and genuine commitment.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • At least a YH degree in automation or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of practical experience in electrical work within the industry, for example as a service electrician.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • A valid driver's license (B).

Meritorious:

  • Experience in the mining industry
  • Experience with CAD (Elprocad)
  • Competence in PLC/HMI programming, preferably ABB or Beckhoff
