The departments Project Engineers North & South consist of about 50 engaged Engineers in Electrical Design, Automation, and Mechanical Design. Geographically, we are located in several locations across Sweden, working together as a tight-knit team remotely. We are responsible for the development of designs for control systems for substations and hydropower stations. Travel may occur in the position to visit the stations. Our department is part of the Business Area Technology, where over 170 engineers work across Sweden, providing good opportunities for collaboration and development for our Engineers.

We are now looking for an Electrical Designer for the Project Engineers North department!

What does an Electrical Designer do with us?

The position involves developing electrical designs for station projects such as transformer stations and hydropower stations. This includes the design of control systems, local power, and relay protection. In the projects, you will work together with other electrical designers as well as project managers and design leaders.

Our customers include energy and grid companies, industries, infrastructure companies, real estate companies, and contracting companies.

Examples of tasks/responsibilities included in the role:

• Establish complete electrical designs
• Perform design adaptations
• Configuration and testing of control systems
• If you are an experienced electrical designer, there is an opportunity to take on the role of design leader for projects

Requirements Specification

We are looking for someone who is analytical and enjoys solving complex problems; for you, nothing is impossible! You are well-versed in the field and are eager to share your knowledge with your colleagues. Taking on a task and seeing it through to completion with the design team is a given for you. Since the work involves complex issues, we also want you to be structured in your approach.

We know that you will develop with us. But we would like you to already have:

• A post-secondary education in electrical power or equivalent work experience in electrical power is a requirement
• Experience in designing control systems for substations or hydropower stations
• Experience in configuring relay protection is an advantage
• Good knowledge of Elprocad and/or Elmaster
• Good IT and computer skills
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement
