Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency makes 24 million decisions that affect people's lives and society as a whole. We disburse approximately 250 billion SEK each year. These are public funds that we manage. It is a significant responsibility. Therefore, we think innovatively and use the latest technology to simplify and improve, develop and deliver IT services for the Swedish social insurance system. Welcome to one of Sweden's largest IT departments.

The Production Center is responsible for the entire IT production chain at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, from planning to deployment, monitoring, and support. We act as the link between development, management, and operations. Our unit, Production Assurance, consists of three teams with a total of 12 employees who are in a growth phase.

Operational Analysis, Container Platforms, Microservices, Observability, and Monitoring. The vision for IT operations, where Operational Analysis is a cornerstone, focuses on strengthening the coordination between infrastructure and applications, using advanced tools to improve analysis and recovery times, and investing in skills development and process improvements to manage a growing and complex IT environment.

As an IT technician in Operational Analysis, you ensure stability, performance, and availability in our IT services. You work with central observability, analysis, and optimization of container-based infrastructure with a focus on OpenShift, Kubernetes, and microservices.

In your daily work, you handle incidents, troubleshoot systems, and conduct performance and reliability analyses. By implementing and developing monitoring solutions with Grafana and Prometheus, you identify and resolve issues before they impact operations. Monitoring helps us quickly identify when and what is happening in the system, while observability allows us to understand why and how something occurs, providing us with deeper insights to optimize and solve problems in the long term.

In addition to Operational Analysis, you participate in the long-term development of the IT environment through system changes, risk analyses, and process automation. In this work, security aspects are central, where you contribute to identifying and managing potential risks. You collaborate with other IT teams to ensure a robust and modern platform.

Knowledge sharing is a natural part of our everyday life, where you have the opportunity to develop in areas such as automation, service mesh, and performance optimization, while working with modern container technology in an organization that directly impacts our citizens.

The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high level of security awareness.

This is a job for you who want to take responsibility.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has a university degree or equivalent experience and qualifications
  • has experience with Linux
  • has experience with microservices-based operations
  • acts on their own initiative and takes responsibility for achieving good results
  • collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals
  • has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • has good communication skills, both spoken and written
  • has a systematic and meticulous working method
  • can understand and analyze complex issues.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • experience with the container platform OpenShift and Kubernetes
  • knowledge or experience with Service Mesh, e.g., Istio
  • knowledge or experience in using and visualizing tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, and Greylog
  • knowledge or experience with agile working methods
  • knowledge or experience of the ITIL framework and its processes.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
