Job Advertisement: Developer at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency

Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency makes 24 million decisions that affect people's lives and society as a whole. We disburse approximately 250 billion SEK each year. These are the tax funds we manage. It is a significant responsibility. Therefore, we think innovatively and use the latest technology to simplify and improve, develop and deliver IT services for the Swedish social insurance system. We have three teams within the Development product area that ensure that the Agency's approximately 70 system development teams can focus on business logic and comply with requirements. We provide everything from purchased to in-house developed products. Common to all is that we handle development, production, and support for all our products.

Code Development, Production, and Support

You will be part of an engaged team that develops and maintains a range of support systems – both in-house developed and standard systems – that actively support the Agency's application developers. You enjoy working in a team. Your work will combine code development with production and support, where you will have close contact with our customers, the Agency's system developers, on a daily basis. We work with Windows (client/server), Linux, and OpenShift. You will participate in the initiative to develop the Agency's new target platform where our products accelerate the work of system developers.

The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a strong security awareness.

We are looking for someone who

• has a university degree or equivalent experience and qualifications
• has specialist competence and expertise in software development
• acts on their own initiative and takes responsibility for achieving good results

• brings innovative ideas and solutions that promote development
• has a systematic and meticulous working method
• can understand and analyze complex issues
• has good communication skills, both spoken and written
• has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you

• have knowledge of system administration, packaging, configuration, documentation, and troubleshooting on Linux and Windows
• have knowledge of application operations
• have knowledge of container orchestration
• have experience with Python or Javascript.

A permanent, full-time position, with start date as agreed. A probationary period may be applicable. In accordance with the Agency's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment. For this position, Swedish citizenship is required.
