Your future challenge

In the SIL department, we work with test development and verification of software-based functions in our vehicle systems. The tests are performed on test benches in our lab as well as directly in our vehicles.

Although there is some practical work involved, the Test Designer role is more theoretical, where the main task is to interpret and understand requirements and system documentation to then realize these into test cases.

Typical tasks for a Test Designer include:

• Reviewing and analyzing requirements and specifications for software-based functions.
• Determining how we will verify the requirements to ensure functionality and safety.
• Creating test cases in text format.
• Participating in planning what will be tested and when.
• Analyzing test results and creating error reports.
• Conducting tests on our test benches and in our vehicles.

As a Test Designer, you will collaborate not only with your immediate colleagues but also with other departments such as Systems, Software, and Design departments regarding the development and design of test cases.

In addition to the above-mentioned tasks, there is an opportunity to vary tasks based on knowledge and preferences where theory is mixed with more practical work.

Who you are

We prefer that you have a university degree in a technical field, preferably in electronics or software, or equivalent experience.

If you have previous experience with software testing on embedded systems, design and documentation of tests, or knowledge of vehicle systems, we consider this an advantage.

As a person, you have a technical interest, strong self-drive, are meticulous, and take great responsibility. You have good collaboration and communication skills and are a good team player who wants to help drive our work forward.

Good knowledge of Swedish and English is a requirement.
