About the Job

Fenix Omsorg is a well-established treatment center for men with addiction issues, often in combination with criminality and mental health problems. We work with the 12-step program as our theoretical foundation and have competencies such as psychologists, psychiatrists, and nurses.

As we are in an expansive phase, we are now looking for staff who want to work on a week-on/week-off schedule. Education as a treatment assistant with experience of the target group is an advantage. Knowledge and experience of the 12-step program are particularly meritorious.

Daily tasks include conversing and socializing with our clients. The main tasks during evenings and weekends are testing, documentation, cleaning, some cooking, engaging in activities, holding evening meetings, and distributing medication according to delegation. The tasks will be varied.

Furthermore, driving and transportation are included. Supervision and social control are also an important part of the job.

As an applicant, you must have a strong interest and commitment to helping people in problematic life situations. You stand for equal treatment and distance yourself from all forms of degrading treatment. Since the work during evenings and weekends usually involves working alone, you need to be confident in yourself and your professional role, have the ability to independently prioritize and take initiative, be flexible, and appreciate close client work. Experience in addiction care or other work with the target group is highly meritorious, and if you have experience through personal addiction, at least 3 years of documented sobriety/drug-free status is required. You also need to be able to provide a criminal record extract.

Start date: September 1 or by agreement.
