The Children and Youth Administration is responsible for Halmstad's municipal preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school programs, and cultural schools. Every day, about 16,000 children attend one of our activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a teacher with subject competence in wood and metal crafts. The position includes mentorship, and you are expected to collaborate closely with other teachers.

As a teacher at Klaraskolan, it is important that you are a safe and clear leader, have good pedagogical skills, and are skilled at adapting teaching to students' needs. In your teaching, you start from a relational perspective, use collaborative structures for student-active teaching, and have a formative approach. You have high expectations for the students and can motivate them to learn and develop by clarifying goals and knowledge requirements. In your pedagogical mission, it is crucial that you meet all students with a positive attitude, promote their participation and influence, and have the ability to be flexible and creative. You also see the value of building relationships with students outside the classroom.

QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed teacher with subject competence in wood and metal crafts for grades 4-6 and/or 7-9. We would like you to have previous experience working in middle and/or high school.

If you are offered employment within the Children and Youth Administration, you are required to present a clean extract from the Police Criminal Records for work in schools/preschools. The extract is free of charge and takes about 2-3 weeks for the police to process. Therefore, order it in good time!
