Over seven years ago, I had a brain hemorrhage that affected me physically but not mentally. In the beginning, I had no speech at all. I have worked hard to regain my speech, but it is still a bit unclear. My mobility is reduced, and I use a wheelchair, but I have made incredible progress, far beyond the forecasts I received in the first months.

I am 46 years old, married, and we have four daughters aged 17, 14, 12, and 9. We live in a villa in Gislaved, Småland. I have had to replace my job as a high school teacher with my own rehabilitation. This means I train through physiotherapy, occupational therapy, gym workouts, and speech therapy. I also go on rehabilitation trips to Spain and Marstrand a couple of times a year. Therefore, it is essential that you have a B driver's license so that you can help me drive to various activities in Sweden. I also have good opportunities to train at home. It is important that you, as an assistant, are flexible as I often need to bring my assistant to different activities, such as to Marstrand.

My main interests are cooking, baking, and family. The most important thing for me is that we get along well, enjoy each other's company, and that you have a pedagogical mindset. You should have the ability to push and motivate me so that I am constantly challenged and forced to make progress.

Right now, I am looking for an assistant who can work at least 50% on a schedule, with the possibility of a larger scope after agreement. Working hours: 06:30 AM - 05:00 PM on weekdays. My assistance is provided during days, evenings, and weekends, with overnight stays at the client's home as needed and by agreement.
