JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you an experienced payroll specialist looking for your next challenge? Do you want to help lead the Swedish Board of Agriculture's payroll team during an important development phase?

Then this is the job for you!

We are looking for a team leader and payroll specialist for our payroll team at the Swedish Board of Agriculture. The team consists of four dedicated payroll administrators and is part of the agency's finance unit. The unit is one of eight units in the operational support department, which also includes units for communication, HR, security, and other support functions.

Right now, we are in the midst of an important effort to improve our payroll administrative processes and are preparing for the procurement of a new payroll and HR system. You will play a key role in the implementation of this system together with colleagues in payroll and HR.

The Swedish Board of Agriculture processes approximately 2,000 payrolls each month, and as team leader, you will have operational responsibility for payroll management, where your main tasks will include:

• Leading and developing the payroll team by ensuring they have relevant knowledge
• Ensuring that payroll processing is done correctly and efficiently
• Driving development and improvement work within payroll administration
• Participating operationally in the payroll process.

You will work closely with the payroll team and the finance manager, who is the unit manager. The team leader role is perfect for you if you want to develop your leadership in a changing environment without explicit personnel responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you need to:

• Have post-secondary education in payroll administration, or equivalent experience
• Have at least five years of experience in qualified payroll management in roles such as payroll specialist or payroll consultant
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Have good knowledge of the Office suite and experience working in payroll systems.

We consider it an advantage if you have experience working in the public sector, as well as if you have previously held a coordinating or project management role.
