Development Leader in Elderly Care

Jönköping Municipality is a large employer with hundreds of different job roles. We are growing in line with the city's development, with more residents, more housing, and a larger range of services. We are always on the lookout for new talent - employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences, united by the common drive to create a better city to visit, live, work, and reside in.

Do you have qualified experience in the field of elderly care? Do you want to contribute to the development of elderly care in Sweden's ninth largest municipality? Then you are welcome to apply to us at the quality unit as a development leader focused on elderly care.

Your new job

In the role of development leader in the field of elderly care, your main responsibility will be to carry out the investigations and development assignments that are prioritized, primarily done by the elderly care management team. You will also be involved in the quality unit's overall mission, including quality monitoring, quality reporting, and more.

The new Social Services Act emphasizes the importance of planning, monitoring, and collaboration in social services in community development. This will also impact your role as a development leader, where a political priority is to further develop strategic collaboration in the municipality for the benefit of elderly residents.

Your qualifications

You who are applying are educated as a social worker or have another higher education degree that is deemed equivalent by the employer. Furthermore, you have at least five years of experience in elderly care as a case officer and/or unit manager and/or development leader. The work requires good knowledge of elderly care, and it is advantageous if you have experience in roles as a development leader/business developer or equivalent in the field of elderly care.

We are looking for someone who has good collaboration skills and enjoys working in a team while also taking responsibility for their work independently. You are flexible and can adapt your work to different conditions and can understand complex issues. The work requires communicative skills, and you should be able to express yourself well in writing. You should have an analytical perspective and strategic ability. In addition to relevant professional experience, your personal competencies will weigh heavily.

We would like you to have a valid driver's license (B).

We offer you

With us, you will be offered an interesting job in a positive and development-oriented unit with a trust-based leadership style. Of course, as an employee of Jönköping Municipality, you will also receive a secure employment and the opportunity to take advantage of a range of benefits such as wellness grants and paid vacation in your first year of employment, as well as other general benefits. The unit has eleven employees with various competencies (development leaders, medically responsible nurses, socially responsible social workers, medically responsible for rehabilitation, and pharmacists). We will now expand the number of development leaders focused on elderly care from one to two.
