As a support assistant at Landsnoravillan, you are an active part of the organization, working closely with children and young people with disabilities to create a safe and developing everyday life based on their needs and self-determination.

About the Job

As a support assistant, you will support children and young people with various disabilities living at Soldatvillan. Here, you will be part of their daily lives and create a safe and developing environment where each individual is given the opportunity to grow based on their own conditions and wishes, as well as their self-determination.

The work involves providing daily support to the children and young people. This includes care, ADL, social training, and a wide range of recreational activities. We work with structure, predictability, and clarifying pedagogy, and your role will be to provide security, affirmation, and pedagogical support. The job also includes contact with relatives, schools, and our mobile healthcare team. Cooking and other practical household tasks are also part of the job, as well as documentation.

Soldatvillan is a cozy residence for children and young people aged 10-18 years. It is located in a quiet residential area in Viby. Here, five young people with various disabilities, such as autism, mobility impairments, and epilepsy, live.

We are looking for two support assistants for permanent positions at 70-90%, with a probationary period possibly applicable. Working hours are varied and include daytime, weekends, evenings, and sleeping on-call shifts.

A background check from the police will be requested in connection with the job offer.

About You

To succeed in this job, we see that you have:

• A minimum of a high school education, such as the child and leisure program, health and care program, or other equivalent education.
• Experience working with children and young people, preferably with disabilities.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
• A valid driver's license (B).

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of LSS and experience in clarifying pedagogy and/or low-arousal approach.

You enjoy working closely with children and young people as well as colleagues. You are skilled at building and maintaining relationships characterized by trust and respect.
