Within the social administration of Järfälla municipality, there is the LSS operational area whose task is to provide support and assistance to people with various disabilities. We are now looking for support assistants with the heart in the right place. You are confident in your professional role and have preferably worked within LSS for a few years and feel that your work as a support assistant is rewarding. You believe that good cooperation with your colleagues is important and you help and support each other in both small and large matters. For this job, it is required that you have a thick skin and can handle sometimes outwardly aggressive behavior, but mostly we have a great time and enjoy doing various activities together, such as watching movies, cooking, going for walks, and other fun together.

We are looking for support assistants for two of our residences. One of the residences is a service apartment and the other is a group home that has a greater need for care. JOB DESCRIPTION

You will be offered a varied job where you primarily meet people with neuropsychiatric disabilities. The role of the support assistant is to motivate and support individuals in their daily lives, in their homes, out in the community, and with, for example, authority and healthcare contacts. Social activities are also included in the assignment, both individual and group activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant or has other relevant education that the employer considers equivalent. You need experience working in the field and have worked with individuals with high-functioning autism, intellectual and mental disabilities, as well as knowledge and experience in low-arousal responses and MI and clear pedagogical approaches.

In addition to experience and competence, you should be flexible, attentive, responsible, calm, positive, and have a pedagogical approach. We place great emphasis on your personal suitability and maturity, the ability to be part of a team, take initiative, and work in a structured and independent manner. You should also be able to express yourself clearly and have a good ability to communicate in both speech and writing as we have documentation responsibilities.
