Your mission

Lakegatan's group home is a residence according to LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons) located within walking distance from Fisksätra center, close to both nature and public transport.

Here we offer a safe and homely environment with staff available 24/7, all year round. We have seven active clients living in their own apartments with access to communal areas and a large outdoor space. One of our clients lives in a satellite apartment with housing support. At Lakegatan, you will work in a team of committed, secure, and welcoming colleagues.

As a support assistant, you will base your work on the individual needs and wishes of the clients, providing support in daily life from a pedagogical perspective. Together with other staff, you will work towards making each day meaningful and enriching. You will support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the client to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks will also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans.

At Lakegatan's group home, you will work day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Your experience

To be considered for the position, you must have:

• Completed education in health and social care/child and leisure with courses in disabilities/special education, or at least three years of documented experience in similar work
• Experience with autism and cognitive disabilities among adults
• Experience with low-arousal approaches
• Computer and documentation skills, as well as experience working with implementation plans
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

If you also have education and/or experience in IBIC, AAC, and clear pedagogical methods, it is a strong merit.

Some of our clients have extensive needs for support in their daily lives, and you therefore need to be accustomed to care interventions.

As a person, you are patient and can create security and trust with the clients. You are attentive and have a flexible approach, both in your working methods and in your interactions with clients. We are looking for someone who is communicative and enjoys working with others as well as independently. You take responsibility and feel confident in making independent decisions. You thrive on developing working methods and approaches to create a meaningful everyday life for the client.

About the employment
