Do you want to make a difference this summer? We are looking for summer substitutes for our unit consisting of three supported housing facilities and housing support for people with mental disabilities.
In the role of housing supporter, you will be an important part of supporting individuals towards a more independent and meaningful life.
We offer
As a housing supporter, you will work either at one of our supported housing facilities or directly in the client's home. Our work mainly takes place during office hours, Monday to Friday, but may also involve evenings and weekends if the client needs support at other times.
Our unit is located in Kungsholmen, but work may also take place in other parts of Stockholm, such as Bromma and Östermalm.
Your role as a housing supporter
In your role, you will provide clients with both emotional and practical support. You help create a structured everyday life and support the client in performing daily tasks, as well as working with motivation and personal development. You will also provide support during activities, employment, and when contacting authorities or doctors.
The tasks are varied, and you are expected to adapt your working methods based on each individual's needs. Common tasks include assistance with cooking, planning purchases, simpler financial matters, and helping with clearing and cleaning when needed.
Since the job involves some solitary work, it is important that you can work independently and make quick decisions in various situations.
Your skills and experience
You have:
- At least two years of experience as a housing supporter or equivalent role in social psychiatry.
- Relevant education, such as nursing assistant with a psychiatric focus, housing supporter, or mental health worker.
- Experience with documentation and preferably experience with the Parasol system.
- Knowledge of MI (motivational interviewing) and neuropsychiatry and independent living (ESL) – this is meritorious.

The Social Services Department is responsible for caring for people with disabilities, individual and family care, financial assistance, and labor market measures, as well as field and leisure activities. In 2025, the responsibility for playground activities will be transferred to the department. Employment in certain positions within the Social Services Department may require a criminal record check.
