WeMind Individ & Familj (https://wemind.se/hvb-och-skola/) was created with a clear vision to raise the level of care provided to society's youth. It must be a given that the organizations that receive individuals in such vulnerable life situations that they are placed in residential care have the highest density of competent treatment resources and take an active responsibility to use evidence-based methods, careful follow-up, while keeping costs for society as low as possible.

Your new workplace

WeMind Individ & Familj operates residential homes, school activities, outpatient care, CBT clinics, as well as training and supervision. Currently, we run four residential homes, two for boys aged 14-18 in Gålö and Tyresö, one for girls aged 14-18 in Vendelsö, and one for both boys and girls in Partille. We are now looking for a driven and good team player for Gålö. HVB Gålö is divided into three houses (treatment units) with a total of 23 places.

The target group is common where the placed youth have psychosocial problems such as difficulties in family relationships, school absenteeism, isolation issues, and/or behavioral problems such as defiance and acting out or self-harm. Challenges related to substance abuse and criminality do not belong to the target group, and we can offer completely drug-free environments to thrive and grow in. We specialize in providing qualified evidence-based psychiatric interventions, and our efforts are therefore particularly suitable when mental health issues underlie the aforementioned difficulties. Depression, suicidal thoughts, eating problems, anxiety issues, and psychotic symptoms are common in the youth group. We carry out all interventions with our own staff and have extensive experience in creating individual solutions for neuropsychiatric disabilities. Our therapeutic interventions are performed by psychologists specializing in CBT who work full-time in the organization, allowing us to offer a unique setup for intensive treatment on-site. Each youth also has a responsible social worker who works with the school-home-social services network. We are proud to present a very ambitious and competence-intensive care setup at WeMind.

Working as a treatment assistant at WeMind HVB

As a treatment assistant with us, you primarily work with support in the youth's daily routines. You will be an important person for the implementation of our response strategies, one of the most central parts of the treatment model. Practically, the work involves being available to plan and carry out leisure activities, support the implementation of school and employment, maintain contact with the youth's relatives, and assist in daily routines regarding waking/bedtime, activities, medication, and meals.

For us, it is important to have a safe and pleasant working environment where each employee has a stimulating work situation, has the opportunity to take responsibility and be involved in the treatment process, and also has fun at work. The team setup offers close collaboration with our other professional roles such as social workers, psychologists, nurses, and doctors. You will be introduced to the work by an experienced social educator.

About you
  • Driver's license B
  • Experience working with youth and/or in residential care
  • Ability to remain calm even in pressured/challenging situations
  • Unpretentious attitude and good collaboration skills
  • Completion of all or part of the social educator or social work education is an advantage
  • Available for regular work immediately
  • Criminal record extract for work at HVB

We are now looking for several substitute treatment assistants who are interested in joining our substitute pool over time. With us, you will have the chance to work with highly specialized colleagues in a wonderful working environment. We are looking for someone who is an engaged, stable, and patient person with previous experience in practical work with youth exhibiting problematic behaviors. Preferably with experience working in treatment homes/HVB/residential services. You find it enjoyable to work on relationship-building, can maintain calm even in challenging situations, and have a humble and unpretentious attitude towards both youth and colleagues.
