About the Position

The Open Care of Social Services in Norrtälje Municipality is undergoing changes, and therefore the child and family team within Open Care is being expanded to work more intensively with our placed children with the goal of avoiding placements.

We are therefore looking for two therapists who want to be part of this important work!

Job Description

In the role of therapist in open care, your focus will be on children and families with an emphasis on placed children. You will work on behalf of social workers in assessed assistance efforts. You are flexible and have the ability to see needs while applying proven experience and evidence. You enjoy collaborating with others and driving work in a team- and network-based approach. The work includes weekend and evening shifts as many vulnerable situations can arise during those times. As a therapist in this role, you are required to work in the families' home environments to support parents and others in the network in common situations such as setting boundaries, routines, and age-appropriate guidance. The therapist also has a coordinating function that includes some practical support and guidance towards other community actors, HVB staff, and foster parents.

The open care unit currently consists of:

• The adult team, aimed at adults with harmful use and dependence as well as perpetrators of violence.
• The child and family team, working with children and youth and their families.
• Minimaria, consisting of health and medical care interventions and family treatment.
• SIP coordinator
• Network team
• Two youth therapists and two therapists working with support conversations for victims of violence.

In open care for children and adults, the work at a concrete level means:

• Implementing decisions based on assignments from social workers.
• Working with treatment based on evidence-based methods.
• Participating and contributing to organizational changes in accordance with political decisions.
• Ensuring legal security by, among other things, establishing implementation plans and continuous record-keeping.

Qualifications

For this position, you need to have a background as a social worker, behavioral scientist with step 1 training, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. It is also required that you have experience working with treatment independently in families' home environments. In the role, you need to have a B driver's license. It is an advantage if you also have experience and knowledge of working with violence. You are also welcome to have experience in working with authority enforcement and be well-versed in Social Services legislation.
