Enskede Årsta Vantör Group Homes and Service Housing LSS consists of 16 units.

In the units, adults with disabilities live in their own apartments with the opportunity for social interaction in shared spaces. Our mission is to provide support and service based on individual needs and wishes, and we actively work to promote equality and full participation in community life for our users. The work is characterized by a pedagogical approach, a structured working method, and a low-arousal and respectful attitude towards users and colleagues.

We are now looking for summer substitutes and part-time substitutes who want to work extra in one of our group or service homes. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. In some operations, night shifts may also occur.

Your role/Job description

The work involves supporting, motivating, interpreting, and clarifying everyday life for the users, as well as providing care and service based on the users' individual needs. The work also involves collaboration with the user's network.

Good physical ability and endurance are prerequisites for the job in order to support the user based on their needs.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone who:

• has experience working in LSS operations
• has knowledge of and practical experience with individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and intellectual disabilities (ID)
• can handle difficult situations that require you to meet individuals with challenging behaviors in a low-arousal manner.

It is an advantage if you:

• have completed or started education in pedagogy, social work, or care with a focus on disabilities or in child and leisure.
• have knowledge and practical experience of working with clear pedagogical methods and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
• have knowledge and experience working with individuals with comorbidities, such as substance abuse, dependency, and psychiatric diagnoses.

We are looking for someone who is a secure and stable person with self-awareness. You have the ability to plan and prioritize in your daily work. You are humble, unpretentious, and collaborate well with others. You express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and have basic computer skills.

Enskede Årsta Vantör is one of 11 district administrations in the City of Stockholm. As part of the City of Stockholm, the administration offers preschool and leisure, care for the elderly and disabled, social services, preventive and safety work, urban development, and park maintenance to our 105,000 Stockholmers living in the district. We face exciting challenges as the Enskede Årsta Vantör district grows and entirely new neighborhoods are built. Approximately 18,000 new apartments are planned by 2030.

To work with the elderly and individuals with disabilities in their homes in the City of Stockholm, you must present an extract from the criminal record. The extract should not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.
