Support Assistant to Oppsätra Group Home

Within the social administration, you make a difference, both for individuals and for the municipality as a whole. When you work here, you can be sure to engage in meaningful tasks. We investigate and decide on support for children and adolescents, families, the elderly, people with disabilities, and individuals in need of support in various life situations. Together, we work to provide the highest quality of service. We are expanding our operations and are now looking for more support assistants for Oppsätra group home.

Your New Job

The group home is located in Skeppsdal, 9 km north of Åkersberga, approximately 2 km from the nearest bus stop.

The accommodation has 8 places, and the target group is adults with autism and additional diagnoses. Oppsätra is a combined group home and daily activity center aimed at individuals who may have difficulty going to work or new environments.

Clients live in their own apartments and require individually tailored support with planning, structure, and execution of daily activities. We also strive to ensure that clients have a stimulating leisure time with activities as needed, such as walks, gym, swimming, etc. All work is permeated by the individual's needs and is based on respect and participation.

Job Description:

We offer varied tasks based on each client's unique needs. The group home is the individual's home, which requires you as a support assistant to be attentive and respect the clients' privacy.

The work involves providing long-term and goal-oriented support, as well as creating security and comfort with great respect for the individual's right to self-determination.

The work also includes being a support person and maintaining daily social documentation. Based on each client's implementation plan, we will offer individually tailored support in daily living.

Together, we work to create a workplace where we set high goals, share knowledge, are curious, and have fun. We always put the client's interests first! The operations dictate how the schedule looks. Staff work on a schedule that includes days, evenings, on-call shifts, and weekends.

Your Profile

Requirements:

  • Completed upper secondary education in the health and care program with a specialization in disabilities, or the child and leisure program with a focus on social or educational work. Alternatively, other education that the employer deems equivalent.
  • Driver's license B.
  • Proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills and basic knowledge of social documentation.

Meritorious:

  • Experience working within LSS operations and knowledge of various diagnoses, including neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF).
  • Experience with challenging behaviors.
  • Experience with clear pedagogical methods and low-arousal responses.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
