Växjö Interest Association for Montessori is an economic association that operates three Montessori preschools in Växjö. Our activities are based on the principles of Montessori pedagogy and are well anchored in the preschool curriculum as well as current research and proven experience. This means that we design an educational environment that promotes children's natural desire to learn while offering a safe, caring, and developing environment. As a non-profit organization, all revenue is reinvested into children's education and development. We have a high staff density that allows for close work with each child.

At our preschools, we work with high ambitions for each child's development and learning, and the work is characterized by a strong pedagogical commitment. We place great importance on creating a prepared environment that meets each child at their unique level, where children feel safe and seen, and where they have the opportunity to explore and develop their interests.

Joint professional development and collegial learning are continuously offered, both within the own work team, at the preschool as a whole, and together across the entire organization. There is also close collaboration with special education teachers.

As a preschool teacher with us, you are an important part of the work team and contribute to creating a cohesive whole where daily routines, care, and pedagogy go hand in hand. Together with preschool teacher colleagues in the work team, you lead planning, implementation, documentation, and analysis of education. This is to create a positive, stimulating, and developing environment in accordance with Montessori philosophy based on each child's interests and needs.

The systematic quality work is documented digitally in ready-made materials created to provide natural support in developing education as a whole as well as the teaching that each individual child encounters.

We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher, preferably with Montessori training. It is expected that you as an applicant have a strong desire and interest to learn and adapt to the working methods that align with the principles and philosophy of Montessori pedagogy.

You are responsible, engaged, flexible, and positive. You have a responsive and professional attitude towards children, colleagues, and guardians. You have the ability to collaborate and communicate in an open, honest, and respectful manner.

The position requires good knowledge of the Swedish language as well as competence in digital work tools.

OTHER

To work in preschool, school, and youth and leisure activities, you must, according to the law on background checks, submit a background check from the police's criminal record. You must request the extract from the National Police Board using the form "Extract from the Criminal Record" in the form archive from the police's website.

If you are a newly graduated preschool teacher, you have the opportunity for an introductory period with the support of a mentor.

For permanent employment, we offer work clothes for outdoor use. All employees are offered educational meals.
