JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to help create a meaningful and developing leisure activity for our students? Are you passionate about working in an environment where collaboration between school and leisure is the focus? We are now looking for a leisure teacher responsible for the leisure center and to be part of the school's management team.

Vederslöv School is a charming F-6 school with just over 160 students, only 20 minutes from Växjö. The school is located in a quiet area with a fantastic environment close to nature, forests, meadows, and water. We have an inspiring schoolyard that invites play, games, and creativity, as well as a small gym for physical activities.

We work to maintain children's desire to learn and provide students with the opportunity for influence. Through collaboration between school and leisure, we aim to offer students a fun, meaningful, enjoyable, and safe environment.

As a leisure teacher with us, you will play a central role in the school's leisure activities and actively contribute to developing a safe and stimulating environment for the students. You will be responsible for planning and implementing educational activities that strengthen children's social and cognitive development. Additionally, you will be part of the school's management team, where you have the opportunity to influence the school's overall development.

The main assignment is focused on teaching and leisure time, but some school collaboration is also included in the role. You will be responsible for organizing the leisure center and have operational responsibility as a team leader. Collaboration with preschool, as well as working with school management to develop and drive systematic quality work.

You have a conscious approach to your role as an educator and are a clear leader who works systematically based on applicable governing documents and maintains a professional attitude. You strive to ensure that all students have the opportunity to develop, document their results, and inform students and guardians effectively about their learning progress.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified leisure teacher with a focus on sports. You are responsible and a self-driven educator with the ability to act as a safe and trustworthy adult role model for our students. It is important that you can handle rapid changes and challenging situations calmly and effectively. You are humble and not afraid to step in where needed. Since you will collaborate closely with teachers, guardians, and other resources, good collaboration skills are required. Furthermore, we see that you are passionate about supporting children in their development and well-being. Clarity and open communication are prerequisites for creating a trustworthy collaborative climate. We believe that a positive attitude is contagious and creates a better work environment and a more favorable learning environment for our students.
