JOB DESCRIPTION

Fagrabäckskolan is a grades 7-9 school located centrally in the eastern part of Växjö, with about 350 students and a total of 15 classes by autumn 2025. We are a school that welcomes students from several of the city's residential areas and outskirts on the eastern side of Växjö, and in the classroom, large parts of the world meet, as we have many nationalities represented at Fagrabäck.

Pär Lagerkvist School started its operations in August 2017 and consists of about 1000 children and students distributed across three units. Preschool with about 200 children, grades F-6 with just over 300 students, and grades 7-9 with about 450 students. Today, the 7-9 section is organized into three teams with five parallel classes in each grade.

The schools are jointly seeking a Spanish teacher for instruction at both units, spending just over half of your time at each school. The role includes teaching Spanish for grades 6-9, mentorship, and active participation in the teams' development areas. You will belong to a team where you, together with colleagues, plan, implement, and evaluate the team's activities in relation to the school's and program's objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach Spanish.

You have a conscious thought about your role as an educator and are a clear leader who works systematically based on current governing documents and with a positive attitude. You have the ability to create a good working climate with engagement, curiosity, and safety in the group, and you possess good knowledge to meet students' diverse needs based on their different conditions.

You are a person who can and wants to collaborate with others to ensure all students develop, and you have a good collaboration with students and guardians. You are also positive about the development of the organization and yourself and have documented experience working with diverse students.
