JOB DESCRIPTION

Pär Lagerkvistskolan is located in the new district of Bredvik, about 5 km from Växjö city center. Bredvik is situated along the western shore of Norra Bergundasjön, close to forests and nature. The school started in 2017 and is a F-9 school with about 700 students. There is also a preschool in the same building. The school has a language track aimed at developing students' linguistic abilities, which extends from preschool to grade 9.

Our mission is to support children's and students' development and learning from a 1-16 perspective. Collaboration occurs between preschool and school to support children's and students' transitions between different stages. The goal of a 1-16 perspective is that together we will offer a creative and challenging learning environment. The F-6 facilities are located in the eastern part of the building with an inviting schoolyard. The after-school program is directly adjacent to the classrooms. There are good opportunities to utilize the school's library, dance room, and gymnasium.

Pär Lagerkvistskolan is a relationship-building school where we work to create safety and well-being through present educators. Together with the students, we will develop and ensure that the school is a place where individuals are visible, challenged, and succeed based on their unique conditions. At Pär Lagerkvistskolan, the goal is to create an accessible learning environment that permeates the work in the school. We work based on differentiated instruction and conscious leadership.

We are now looking for a teacher to join the 4-6 work team. You will work in grade 5 in close collaboration with your grade-level colleague. You and your colleague will co-plan and conduct much of the teaching together. Currently, there are 38 students in grade 5 divided into two classes. In our language track, which is a program for students with language impairments, students are included in the classes. You will have close collaboration with a speech therapist, special education teacher, and teachers with special expertise in this area.

As a teacher with us, you will plan and conduct teaching according to the applicable curriculum. We work collegially within F-6, where team spirit is important, as we strongly believe that it is together that we achieve the best results.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher and qualified to teach grades 4-6 in Swedish and SO subjects. It is an advantage if you also have qualifications to teach English and art.

You are an engaged, reflective, and driven teacher. Together with colleagues, you are responsible for creating structured and varied teaching. You plan and evaluate the teaching based on the analysis of students' results. You actively work to support and motivate your students in their development, both academically and socially. You contribute to creating good learning environments so that students feel curiosity and a desire to learn.

All teachers are part of a collegial learning environment where teaching is the focus. You create a good study environment in your teaching groups to achieve high goal fulfillment and are a clear leader in the classroom.
