Prolympia Växjö is hiring a teacher in Science/Technology and Mathematics!

In August 2023, Prolympia opened a newly built sports school for grades 7-9 in Arenastaden. By combining sports and health with knowledge and security, we offer the best conditions for a successful school experience. The school is aimed at all sports-interested youth in grades 7-9 who have the opportunity to combine school with sports in the best possible environment. The school operates in close collaboration with various sports clubs in Växjö.

Job Responsibilities

In your role as a teacher, you will teach Science and Technology at the middle school level. In your daily work, you will plan lessons, prepare classes, and document students' development. You actively work to encourage all students to develop their knowledge and have the ability to adapt teaching to promote learning and good academic results. You will be part of a team where you have the opportunity to exchange experiences, thoughts, and ideas that can improve your teaching and contribute to school development. In addition to teaching, you will also serve as a mentor for a class. For those who are also qualified in Mathematics, teaching in Mathematics will be included.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree from a teacher education program with teaching certification and qualifications for teaching Science/Technology. It is an advantage if you also have qualifications in Mathematics for middle school.

For employment, a criminal record extract concerning work in schools and preschools is required.
