JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lillestadskolan is a K-6 school located in the northern part of Växjö. The school has just over 300 students with a student body that reflects the society we live in. We focus heavily on working with student health and the social situation of the students. At Lillestadskolan, everyone takes responsibility for their knowledge development, for each other, and for our shared environment. We work for good relationships and safety, which form the foundation for achieving high goal fulfillment.
At Lillestadskolan, we have chosen to invest in a three-teacher model, which means we are expanding our organization at the middle school level to better meet students where they are while also ensuring a good working environment for our teachers. As a teacher with us, you will be part of the team for grades 4-6. You will plan and implement teaching according to the applicable curriculum.
At Lillestadskolan, we work in teams. The collaboration between teams and teachers allows teachers to see and meet students in various situations, thus gaining a holistic perspective on the student. All staff share a common responsibility for the students' learning and development. You will have strong support from the school's Student Health Team, which consists of a special educator, special teacher, school nurse, and counselor.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has a teaching license with qualifications to teach grades 4-6 and qualifications in at least Swedish, mathematics, and English, as well as either social studies or natural sciences. You have a conscious thought about your role as an educator and are a clear leader who works systematically based on applicable governing documents and has a positive attitude.
You have the ability to create a good working climate with engagement, curiosity, and safety in the group and have good knowledge of meeting students' various needs based on their circumstances.
You are flexible, responsible, and attentive to students' needs, but at the same time clear, able to set boundaries, and have great patience. You have a professional attitude, a good ability to take initiative, and find it easy to collaborate with others, as well as communicate with both children and adults in an uncomplicated manner.
