JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an engaged and experienced treatment provider who wants to work with youth and families in vulnerable situations where norm-breaking behavior, crime, and other social difficulties occur. You are not deterred by a tough and rejecting attitude from the youth you meet in your work; rather, you know from experience that it is possible to work past the protective facade and instead create trust and an alliance for change work. You believe that change is possible and strive for solutions for the individual and family at home. As a family treatment provider, you will provide support and guidance to break negative patterns, strengthen family relationships, and create conditions for positive development.

The work involves both preventive and treatment interventions tailored to each youth's and family's specific needs. Through CBT-based methods, we work to help youth manage emotions, impulses, and behaviors in a more constructive way. The role includes building trusting relationships, conducting individual conversations and group activities, and providing support and guidance to the youth's families.

We will also work outreach where needed to reach youth and families in need of support. The work takes place in the environment where the youth is located, in their home together with the family, in school in close collaboration with school staff, and in the youth's local area. You will work closely with various relevant actors to ensure that the right intervention is implemented at the right time. The interventions can be both urgent and long-term, depending on the situation and the needs that arise. You primarily work during the day, but evening shifts may also occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a relevant education in social work, such as a social worker, behavioral scientist, social pedagogue, or other education deemed equivalent. You should have experience working with at-risk youth and have a good ability to work both independently and in a team. Furthermore, we see that you are flexible, action-oriented, and have the ability to adapt your working methods to different situations, as well as being good at creating alliances.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with youth who exhibit norm-breaking behavior and knowledge of CBT-based methods such as ART (Aggression Replacement Training) and Repulse.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

As travel is required in the position, you need to have a valid driver's license.

The position is a project employment with the possibility of extension if continued state funding is received.

Selection will be ongoing during the process.

OTHER

We are looking for someone who has the competence to contribute to our operations regardless of gender, age, ethnic background, religion or other beliefs, sexual orientation, or disability.

To ensure the quality of our recruitment process, we work in a competency-based recruitment tool. We will review the selection continuously and may call candidates for interviews before the application period has ended.

If you are called for an interview, we want you to be able to substantiate your qualifications with certificates and grades. You also need to be able to present a valid driver's license for the relevant service vehicle if it is applicable to the position.

To work with us, you must show a valid passport, national ID card, or personal certificate together with identification at the job interview. If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EES or Switzerland, you also need to bring a work permit.

If you are offered a position, you must present a valid extract from the Police's criminal record before employment. The extract is free to order and can be done through the police's website https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/ (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/)

For everyone's comfort, our working hours are smoke-free.
