Personal Assistant for Engla

My name is Engla and I am 22 years old. I live in Grevie village outside Båstad with my parents and younger siblings. On weekdays, I attend a daily activity center not far from home. I currently live with my family but will soon move to my own accommodation.

My assistant should appreciate being active. My bike rides are important to me, and I ride once a week. I love riding and have been doing it since I was 8 years old. You will accompany me and lead the horse in the forests around my riding school. Driving is another activity I enjoy. Preferably at a slow pace on the small roads up on Hallandsåsen and around Bjäre. It is also fun to stop at my favorite cafés and eat something delicious. I also enjoy sitting on the couch, watching TV, and relaxing.

You who are applying should be confident in yourself and have clear and straightforward communication with me and my surroundings. Since I do not have a spoken language and am deaf, you must have good knowledge of Swedish, as my parents' and surroundings' instructions are important for my daily life to be as good as possible. I communicate with pictures and gestures.

I have an intellectual disability and autism and need help with everything in daily life regarding hygiene, clothing, grocery shopping, and cooking. I can eat by myself but need your support.

The Assistant:

Working as a personal assistant is a fun and developing job, and you will assist our client with all aspects of daily life. If you have experience with autism, it is an advantage, but not a requirement, as your personal suitability is the most important. You need to be calm and able to read situations and adapt to Engla's needs. You also need to have great flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing situations.

Since Engla enjoys driving, a driver's license is a requirement for the position. Engla has her own car and a side-by-side bike. We would like you to be available for work during the summer.

Working Hours/Employment Rate:

Waiting time at night. Start immediately. Introduction shifts before starting. Working hours are scheduled for evenings, weekends, nights, and school holidays. (You who are applying need to live near Båstad municipality.)

Salary:

We apply salary according to the collective agreement for the Personal Assistance industry (G) between Vårdföretagarna and Kommunal. Individual salary setting applies.

Documents proving the right to work in Sweden must be presented at any interview:

• A Swedish citizen is verified, for example, with a passport or a certificate of registration from the Tax Agency.

• Third-country nationals (outside EU/EES) prove their right to work in Sweden with a decision from the Migration Agency, a residence permit card (both front and back) or an LMA card.
