Within Omsorg i Bjuv AB, we work for quality, security, and well-being. We are co-creators, curious, and see opportunities in change work. Since spring 2021, the activities within care and support have been organized in a municipal wholly-owned company, Omsorg i Bjuv AB, which, on behalf of the administration, is to work health-promoting and preventive so that residents who need our services can live a dignified life and feel well-being.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an activity leader, you have an important and inspiring role in planning, creating, implementing, and following up on activities at Bjuv's various nursing homes and at our meeting points throughout the municipality.

In Bjuv Municipality, senior residents are offered a variety of activities within the lifestyle concept Five Fingers for Health in Bjuv. The concept, inspired by the FINGER model, offers activities related to healthy eating, physical activity, brain training, cardiovascular health, social interaction, and relaxation.

The purpose is to enhance the quality of life and reduce involuntary loneliness among the elderly. It also aims to provide the opportunity for an independent life well into old age. The project is an extra effort to work more focused on activities related to the FINGER model.

Examples of job responsibilities:

• Plan and lead various activities at nursing homes and meeting points.
• Develop and collaborate with staff at the residences on the activities.
• Create a welcoming environment where everyone feels seen and involved.
• Collaborate with other professionals within the Health-Promoting and Preventive Unit.

As an activity leader, you belong to the Health-Promoting and Preventive Unit, which is part of Omsorg i Bjuv AB. Other activities within the unit include Support for Relatives, Fixer Service, Cognitive Team, Meeting Points, Senior Health, Security Alarms, and Ekbacken Day Activity.

Together, we work to meet the challenges of the future through preventive and health-promoting long-term work.

To succeed in the role, you need to be engaged, flexible, and have a genuine interest in people. You enjoy working both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues and other stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with relevant education and experience in similar work, for example, at meeting points, day activities, or other social services.

Requirements:

• You have previously worked with seniors using a health-promoting approach.
• Good collaboration skills and a warm demeanor.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with others.
• Flexibility and a positive attitude towards change and development.
• You have experience leading activities.
• In your role, you need to have good structure and be quality-conscious.
• You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
• You have good computer skills.
• Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, as this is an operation based on engagement, empathy, and understanding of people.
• You have a B driver's license.
• It is an advantage if you have good knowledge of marketing and communication.
